FULL-SERVICE SALES/MERCHANDISER REPRESENTATIVE (Island of Hawai’i)
We are a locally-owned, family business looking for the right individual to join our team as a Full-Service Sales/Merchandiser Representative. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, self-directed with strong initiative, mathematical and analytical skills, and able to work independently with little to no supervision. Full-Service Sales/Merchandiser Representatives must have strong organizational skills and must manage time efficiently. We need someone with a “can do!” attitude who is open to new ideas and concepts.
This is a full-time position, responsible for generating sales and servicing retail accounts within an assigned territory. Some of the primary duties and functions of Full-Service Sales Representatives include, but are not limited to:
- Increasing sales volume by addressing distribution voids and out-of-stock issues.
- Creating replenishment orders. Suggesting quantities needed and requesting secondary display activity.
- Providing merchandising support. Assuring authorized items are in distribution and have price tags. Pulling product out of back rooms to fill distribution voids.
- Tidying and fronting all merchandise, checking for product freshness and removing out-of-date or defective items from shelves. Assisting store department managers with the processing of returns and credits.
- Assisting customer-scheduled resets and seasonal setups.
- Communicating with store department managers regularly on orders, new items, promotional information, and other issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School or equivalent
- Language: English
- Minimum of three years of work experience in sales, marketing, or similar work environment.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Tech-savvy: able to use a company-issued tablet for taking orders, surveys, photos, and sending/receiving emails. Knowledge of general MS Office Suite.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. for retail resets.
- Travel by automobile is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and current car insurance.
- Travel to outer islands for store resets.
- Work 40+ hours a week. Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed. Periodically accommodate client and/or customer’s appointments or conference calls.
